(“MAKO Score,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when users access or interact with our website, platform, valuation tools, and related services (“Services”). Who This Policy Applies To
This Privacy Policy applies to several types of users:
Business Users: Individuals or entities using the Services to evaluate their own business.
Advisor Users: Professionals such as CPAs, consultants, brokers, fractional CFOs, or advisors using the Services to evaluate businesses belonging to multiple clients.
End Users: Individuals who create MAKO Score accounts and use the Services for their own valuation purposes.
End Clients: Individuals or businesses whose information is uploaded by an Advisor User or Business User. End Clients do not directly contract with MAKO Score.
Representatives: Individuals acting on behalf of Business Users or Advisor Users.
Visitors: Individuals browsing the website without creating an account.
These definitions remain consistent throughout our legal framework, including the Terms of Service.
Our Role in Handling Personal Information
MAKO Score may act either as a data controller or a data processor depending on how the information is provided and who it relates to.
MAKO Score acts as a data controller when processing information collected directly from End Users, Representatives, and Visitors.
MAKO Score acts as a data processor when Advisor Users or Business Users upload End Client data. In these cases, the Business User or Advisor User is responsible for ensuring the data is accurate, lawful, and submitted in compliance with all applicable data protection laws.
MAKO Score does not independently verify or validate data submitted by users.
Information We Collect
We collect information in several ways.
Information provided directly by users may include account registration details, business information, valuation inputs, uploaded files, payment details, and support communications.
Information automatically collected may include device identifiers, usage activity, IP address, browser type, system logs, website behavior, analytics, and information collected through cookies or similar tracking technologies.
We may also receive information from third-party service providers such as payment processors, analytics partners, cloud hosting providers, or integration platforms selected by users.
How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to provide and improve the Services; authenticate and manage accounts; process billing; generate automated valuation results; enable and improve platform functionality; detect, monitor, and prevent fraud or misuse; comply with legal requirements; and communicate important account and service updates.
We do not sell personal information.
Automated Valuation and Processing
MAKO Score uses automated calculations and modeling to generate valuation results based solely on user-submitted data. These valuation outputs do not include human review and are intended as estimates only. They are not certified appraisals and should not be used as the sole basis for regulated financial reporting, lending applications, litigation, tax filings, or similar purposes. Users in applicable regions may have additional rights relating to automated processing.
Legal Basis for Processing (If Applicable)
Where required, MAKO Score processes personal information based on contractual necessity, legitimate business interests, compliance with legal obligations, or user consent such as optional analytics or marketing preferences.
Sharing Information
We may share personal information with trusted service providers who assist with infrastructure hosting, payment processing, analytics, customer support, platform monitoring, and other operational services. Data Integrity and Non-Discrimination
Exercising privacy rights will not result in denial of access or diminished service beyond what is technically required to operate the platform. Some features may not function without required data.
Children’s Privacy
MAKO Score is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

MAKO Score uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No platform can guarantee absolute security.
